Imagine…forests and hills, beaches and cliffs, flamingos and wild boars: the story of Maremma is that of a territory where humans and nature coexist in a precious balance… in complete harmony with the landscape and the biodiversity that characterize the surrounding flora and fauna.
Situated at an altitude ranging from 300 to 460 meters above sea level, along the gentle slopes of the Tuscan Maremma, lie the vineyards of Castello di Montepò where Jacopo Biondi Santi turns this extraordinary land into legendary wine.
The very essence of Il Borro is a journey into the heart of Tuscan wine making tradition. Situated in the heart of Tuscany, is a century old hamlet that the legendary Ferragamo family meticulously restored. Il Borro is surrounded by 1,100 hectares of organic land that produces extraordinary wines; limited and exotic.
Il Borro is a 5-star estate with vineyards, olive groves, an organic farm and elegant hotel. Each individual wine is the result of a careful study of the Estate’s terrain where different vine varieties have been planted to achieve the best expression of the terroir.
Since 1600 the Giusti family has nurtured its passion for wine and has tended and invested in the land with love and respect for tradition.
The family has more than 125 hectares divided into 10 estates which lie between the land on the Nervesa plain, which was home to the very first vineyards in ancient times, and the Montello hills. At the center is the famous Saint Eustace Abbey estate.
Giusti produces some of the finest wine in all of Italy.
